Registering for Online Account Access
Registering for Online Account Access
This article walks through creating your online account for the first time. Registration is a one-time process that takes about five to ten minutes.
If you already have a User ID and password, you do not need to register again. Use the Log In button instead.
Before You Start
Have the following ready:
Social Security Number
Phone Number(s)
Email Addresses(s)
Access to the email inbox and mobile phone your employer has on file for you
The registration process sends a one-time passcode to your email address and phone number as they appear in our records. If either is missing or out of date, registration will not complete and you will need to call us. See Troubleshooting below.
Registration Steps
Go to the login page and select Register to access your account, located below the Log In button.
Review the list of information required to register. Confirm you have all of it before continuing.
Select Start Registration.
Enter your identifying information. Enter it exactly as it appears in your employer's payroll records, including your legal name. A mismatch is the most common reason registration fails at this step.
Retrieve the one-time passcode. We send it to both the email address and the phone number on file for you. Enter the code on the screen. The code expires after 5 minutes.
Create your User ID and password, then set your security questions. The security questions are used to recover your account if you forget your credentials.
Log in with the User ID and password you just created.
Complete your security setup. You will be prompted to set your 2-step verification preferences and to add a personal email address.
Add a personal email address even if your work email is already on file. If you leave your employer, you will lose access to your work inbox, and a personal address keeps you able to log in and receive account notices.
Troubleshooting
The code has not arrived. Delivery usually takes under a minute but can take up to five. Before requesting another code:
Check your spam, junk, and clutter folders for the email.
Confirm the phone number on file is a mobile number that can receive text messages. Codes cannot be delivered to landlines or to numbers that block short-code messages.
Check whether your employer's email filtering is holding the message.
Do not request multiple codes in a row. Each new code cancels the previous one. If you request several and then enter an older code, it will be rejected.
The code never arrives, or your information is not recognized. This usually means the email address, phone number, or identifying details on file do not match what you entered. We can correct that, but not over email. Call us at 866-202-4646.
Getting Help
Call 866-202-4646 or email info@nesteggs401k.com.
Do not include your Social Security number, date of birth, or account number in an email. Email is not a secure channel. If we need that information, we will collect it by phone or through a secure link.
